Community Forest Manager Recruitment

10 January 2017

We are now recruiting for a Community Forest Manager.  This is a part-time post equivalent to two days a week but worked flexibly over the year.  Applicants should have at least a diploma in forestry and ideally two years experience of forest management.  Practical skills such as chainsaw use are desirable but not essential as what we want you to focus on is delivering our new long term forest plan which seeks to convert the mature Aigas woodland to a successful continuous cover forest.  This is an exciting opportunity to work with an innovative community group seeking to make a real difference by creating a forest that delivers biodiversity and access opportunities whilst generating income.  The post is ideally suited to someone who already has other employed or self-employed work in the same field.  Download a job pack and application form in the Community Forest Manager folder in our Documents page.
